Renaissance Bear Shirt

Did you know that Joachim Meyer likely encountered rapier from the Italians during his travels as a cutler, and then brought it back to Germany? The designs for the bear's clothes and rapier are based off of the woodblocks from his 1570 manual, the Art of Combat. I imagine the extra reach and power a bear would have would be hard to counter!
