We All Fall Down

We All Fall Down

I love fall.  It's my favorite time of year.  It's not so hot that you feel like blankets are suffocating you any longer, and not yet so cold that you feel like your bones have frozen.  Temperatures fluctuate between 50 and 80 degrees.  My temperature sweet spot is 65 to 80 degrees.  The leaves change color, and make everything look so much more vibrant.

This was taken in Newport News, Virginia in the Lake Maury Natural Area.  It's not a spot people are very familiar with there.  It's mostly biking trails, which makes the hikes a little harder than walking the Nolan Trail across the street.  I love the extra challenge.  There's also not a lot of people, so you're alone with nature.  It's peaceful and quiet.

There's an ivy forest there, and a bamboo forest.  They can be hard to find.  The trails go off in every direction, and it's easy to walk around for hours following different paths.  It's an amazing area!  I love hiking there.
