What do you love the most about hiking?
This was taken in Juneau, Alaska. We'd hiked up over Mendenhall glacier, and this was on the way back down.
I loved everything about this hike. It was challenging, the landscape was unique, there was fog in the morning that made all the early shots very interesting with the light through the trees, the forest was incredible and covered with lichen, the fog burned off by the afternoon (which was when this shot was taken), and I saw a glacier for the first time.
It was a magical moment. I loved every second of it.
